College of Policing (CoP)

The College of Policing is responsible for training and preparing new officers for their roles. This program provides comprehensive lessons on police procedures, standards, and practical skills. Officers must complete the training alongside the Interview and Training checklist, ensuring they are well-equipped to serve the public.

Specialist Firearms Command (SFO19)

SFO19 officers are the elite of the police department, handling high-risk situations involving firearms and violent confrontations. They are highly trained for critical interventions, responding to extreme threats where the use of weapons is imminent. These officers are prepared to handle dangerous situations that require specialist tactics and equipment.

Emergency Response Policing Team (ERPT)

ERPT is the backbone of the UK Police force. Tasked with responding to emergency civilian calls, assisting at crime scenes, robberies, and high-speed pursuits, they ensure the safety and security of the public. As one of the largest divisions, ERPT consists of some of the most skilled and dedicated officers on the force.

National Police Air Service (NPAS)

Operating the skies above, NPAS provides invaluable aerial support during high-speed pursuits and critical incidents. With state-of-the-art helicopters designed to outpace the fastest suspects, the NPAS team helps ground units by providing live intelligence, surveillance, and real-time updates from above, all while staying undetected with their advanced, quieter engines.

Roads Policing Unit (RPU)

The RPU is dedicated to patrolling and securing major motorways and arterial roads across the city. They focus on road safety, managing accidents, and pursuing high-speed offenders. With a reputation for precision, they ensure the safe flow of traffic and enforce key road laws.
